Worshipping gurus is a dead end practice,futile idolatry.

If this is so, then it may be due to our own spiritual deadness and living too much in our heads. I have little doubt that a spontaneous, intuitive relation to symbols and idols as well as to authority is an excellent qualification for yoga.
