I don't really remember him saying about someone staring his/her own spiritual organization in Michigan (If understood your question correctly). But he talked about Kriyananda and Roy Davis. Leo said some part (actually he said most part) of the book "The Path" written by Kriyananda is not accurate. Somehow I liked the book “The Path” because it contains the devotion element towards guruji (that I lacked before).

Roy Davis, in one of his magazines, has published himself as guru and Leo had quickly pointed it out (his remarks were “what the hell is going on with you Roy, did not master said he would be the last in the line of our gurus?”) to him and Leo said that Roy told him it was a mistake and would correct it and he was never meant to be a guru.
