Well, here are my two cents, hope I wont nag ya to death :)

>-Did the being come with the colonists from earth
Perhaps It was bound inside an old family relic? A statue or a cristal, witch one of the colonist owned. Biding, patiently, It's time, gathering streingth. Finding It much easyer to infuence week human minds in there new claustraphobic sircumstances.

>-Esp-sensitive Player
Yes, most deffinetly! Not only is it a great opertunity for sanity-draining circumstances, It could let the pc have ties to the creature, perhaps explaining why it needs him to free it.

>-can the player himself get possessed
I whould rather have it that he can be psycicaly influenced, slowly draining his sanity and drawing him closer and closer towards the place were the creature is bound.

>-are there humans alive
I whould suggest only ghosts, and perhaps (a possible twist!) some caracters wich the player and the main caracter think are alive, but are all inside the pc's head (Hallucinations put there by Widersacher)

>-happy end possible?
Well, I whould just rather have it end, let the main caracter save the day and survive, but on a brick (ot just with) a nervus breakdown.

>-is the player a Integrity Inspector or a scout?
Integrity Inspector, rough, specialy trained, memory whiped, and put there alone becous he's expandable.

And last and not least:

"The Undead the player will encounter are actually the guardians employed by the order and not the beings minions"

Becous a despirate scientist relesed a set of animating nano-machines to form a deffencive-mechanisim right before he was himself killed. I whould have it, since then, that Widersacher has toyd with and twisted those poor-beings forms, making them much more horrible and meniching. And, although, they still serve there purpous in a half-baked maner, they are also luring the player towards the heart of the lion (Witch needs a "living" human being to set itself free).
