All of you got some nice ideas, really.

I got some ideas too:

1. power-supply: what about a geothermal-power-plant. It supports the opportunity of an underground level, because the maintenance-hallways have to go deep underground. The underground water-reservoir is maybe connected to the plant and supplies the former colony with warm water.

2. victims/dead: are there some corpses laying around or are they all undead? Maybe some people can't be transformed into undead and were killed irrevokable. This could maybe explain why the PC can't be possessed because he is EPS-sensitive. If there are corpses, they might be brought to a special place, or they are scattered thoughout the colony.

So far ...
