She was ..... She was herself. No longer bound by one who's only desires were to cause pain and chaos, terror and destruction. She was herself again, though the memories of their combining were etched into her mind. The moment of stark fear as Djali merged with her, coupled with the sense of peace that had followed. It was as if they had each been seeking the other, without knowing what it was they lacked. She was not quite sure why Fate had decided to sever the merging, making them both individual once more. Her grief over her brother had been muted, no longer did she seek death, only a reason for continued existence. She was still banned from her home, the dark grey of her wings a silent testimony to that fact. She had nowhere to go, and those she called friend had gone. As a part of Rue she had witnessed the Guardians mass transportation to an unknown, unreachable place and knew that they would not be returned anytime soon. There had been a creature, the one that had sent her friend and protector to a place of safety, one that she didn't recognize. Standing slowly, wings uncurling and flexing gently, her decision was made. She would seek out the creature, and perhaps find her own purpose. Looking around once before she took off, she sees on the ground a rose, and resting on the rose was a glimmering blood-red teardrop. Bending, she scoops it up and holds it to the light before setting it in an empty pouch on her belt. Raising her head, she looks around once more before launching herself skywards. It was time to see if she had a place in this world.
