A crystal touches to ground in a soft pat against soil, then another, then another, each glowing palely with it's own light. Crystal touches against flesh with a soft pelt, bouncing off rubbery skin and rolling down fine curves of a body.
So no matter when I turn, it always seems vampires are never far ahead, and left me with nothing more than a bloodied trail to follow. Is it always to be this way I lose to them?
Lashana was more than smiled upon by a Goddess, but favored, beyond eternal oath and servatude.
Crystal tears fell from heaven, pattering down on one such favored, but disappearing after contact with flesh.
I'll not let it go on this way. I refuse it.
An ethereal figure walked through trees, a pale halo of light surounding a transparent form. It wasn't as though she was really there, but there none the less, a projection.
An avatar.
Zenra looked down at Lashana with almost motherly affection, and concern.
We all have our fates, and I know yours isn't to leave this world yet. Don't fret, you'll be found.
A silver and gold brush of wings, and the image faded, her voice trailing off into infinity until it was no more than a whisper on the wind.
There was a crunch of leaves, and a snort, a bear cub poking its head through the underbrush, followed by the face of a girl, no more than 10, but looks were deceiving.
Amber eyes blinked once, seeing the sight of Lashana pressed up against a tree with her own weight, and small flicker of light briefly appeared from under her hair.
Clowie moved from the bushes and approached the girl, not even paying heed to the hawk that screamed above her.
"What in the name of the Goddess...?"
