Her wings twitched, ever so slightly at the motions. The sudden crescendo and change. The following nothingness. Another lull in the city. Silence crashed around them and for once, only once, everything held its breath on the verge of breaking.

To reach out and break it would be...

A gaze fell across her, someone studying and dissecting her pinpoint by pinpoint. It didn't matter, not now. The hush disintegrated, a roar of a murmer flooding the senses as many demanded to know what evil might come next.

They didn't understand. Didn't know that good and evil were nothing more than mere perceptions. Chaos and order nothing more than a different way to arrange things. Life and death become just another viewpoint of one's standing in the Cycle's turn. Wings of flame twitched again and she broke her own silence.

"You dropped your sword." Her hand touched Raken's shoulder, feeling the shift of broken slices beneath her. Not today. You brought the woman who they say is my mother home. You will hold a little longer. Her smile was soft, the image being one almost intended to sooth, but off in its own altruistic light. Selfless as the man so close to breaking ceased to shatter. "Here." She picked up the blade in order to hand it to him, and felt the rush of energy hum across her arm. A word was whispered, too fragmented and broken for her to understand. She turned the blade hilt first to Raken.
