They were pretty much waiting for the moment. They knew they'd hear word of Vain, and they weren't surprised to feel the rain of death. Ues, however, was amused, as the Digital Plane of Existance, the Nexus Digital World, was not destroyed.
The fact of the matter was, it couldn't be destroyed by Vain, Vain could not kill data, not unless he himself had became Data, and besides those with a Digi-Vice,, or those accompanied by someone who had one into the Digital World, it couldn't be touched.
Digital World Physics, gotta love them, Ues could only smirk, amused, glad that the Nexus Digital World was NOT connected to the Real World, unlike several of the others. The fact that some of them were destroyed did upset them.
He remembered all the people he had meet throughout those dimensions. Daisuke, Taichi, all of them, blinked out of existance. And he could feel the screams, all of the Chosen Children, all the Tamers, and most of the V-Tamers, dead. Only the Spirit Evolvers were alive, and the V-Tamer Crew he lead.
Existance wasn't so...lovely on the others. Irou, Shinsei, and Yuji were trying to since Ki Signatures of those they knew. Nothing. Not one trace.
All three seemed frustrated.
Invellios however, did not seem upset.
For he knew Vain was going to die, by one of his "Crew". He promised it. He was glad to have brought Ues to the frontlines. Ues was -A- genius, it seemed like him and Raken would get along just fine heh. And Ues would be the best suited for combat, because he had not lost the closest to him, those he loved still remained.
After a moment of silence, the crew looked at each other.
"...This is the time we've been waiting for, I've prepared you for this. From the moon..I have prepared you something...very special."
As a side effect of the ice melting off the Moon..Invellios had taken the water, and brewed it into a potion. The Super God Water, as he liked to call it, the name of a technique used long ago..
"...Those of you who don't die from it will become -much- stronger...it will unlock your potential. Ues..you're a wee bit more difficult..it'll only effect your Spirit Forms..I couldn't find a way to increase your power..your brain capacities will increase, however..meaning your telepathy and telekinetic skills will become that much stronger."
...They didn't like the part about 'dying'. Who wouldn't..but either way, they were going to die if they didn't do something. Each one grabbed a bottle from Invellios' belt.
"..Bottoms up"
Invellios took out a potion himself and extended his hand outward.
"..The Crew will not fail together"
The other four blinked...not much of a team...but I guess now was a time to learn to work together. They extended their hands over his..and popped the tops, swallowing the substance.
And they all hit the ground, body immobile, each going into a seizure like fit...which..would go on for quiet a bit of time..and they were all concious of their surroundings. Immense pain ruptured their bodies..feeling like they were being eaten inside out.
Of course, this being in the courtyard, people are going to wonder what was going on.
