And your vet bills. For me, that's one of the hardest things about having a pet. You don't have to think about it with kids. Hopefully, your insurance covers it, and you don't have many choices to make if they're sick. But, with a pet, you've got someone who's very much like a child, who has no insurance, and who can't do much to help you make choices about when to intervene and how much. My kitty died very peacefully yesterday morning, and I'm happy for him. We were blessed to have him.
