I may not agree about how natural the evolution was, but I think there is a Bobby Ewing factor. I could spin it away (trauma this, second chance that), but I'm just going with Todd and OLTL itself were subjected to rapidly changing regimes with entirely different visions of the show and its characters. For me, the ever-changing face of Llanview and the increasingly silly explanations for otherwise inexplicable plot twists softened me up and lowered my expectations. So, when the new/old regime was ready to throw me something that was silly, but that I liked, I was totally like, "Okay!" Matthew is Bo's kid after all? Okay! Gold Balloon Todd is back in the house? Okay!!!!

Now, I want Drew Buchanan back from the dead.
