Subject: The Reality of the Kingdom of God

In terms of the mimeticism we have seen that the Kingdom of God is brought about through the complete rejection of the mechanism of violence that has reigned in the world of man. We know that through this rejection though, we might inevitably be participating in the violence, but as victims rather than proponents of that system. Personally, I think that the Gospel message becomes much stronger and compelling through the lens of mimetic theory, but in terms of real-world practicality I think it makes it that much more difficult to appropriate(which could be the point). It just seems that with politics and the knowledge that not everyone will participate in the kingdom of god it will be that much harder to be a part of the kingdom of God; I guess ultimately end up being a struggle between models. This struggle really brings to light Jesus' statement that those who are not with him or against him. I dont know, I just think that mimetic theory has the ability to make the Gospel message much more powerful, but it also seems to create an intense struggle in the attempt to accept that message.
