Subject: Entanglement and Mimetic Desire

I remembered a concept about quantum entanglement that might help me understand mimetic desire more. I need to flesh it out more in my mind, so, at the risk of being disgustingly esoteric, I'm going to post it.

One curious aspect of entanglement is that only one particle or group of particles can entangle with any other at one time. This leads to a big problem in quantum computing with duplication. Your desired model can only have one imitator. Hence, we can't neatly make copies of whatever quantum information we have.

It seems like that has to be the case in terms of desire as well. When an imitator attaches onto a model, they are solely in that relationship irrespective of others. They make objects of others rather than discover new models in others. This could partly explain why people only have particular models. This could also explain in part how choosing one's models works.
We can see this in the case of Lear's Daughters. Goneril and Regan move to push Lear and Cordelia out of the way because they are competing with each other. Cordelia sees Goneril and Regan as one unit and plays the game against both siamese sisters simultaneously. Of course, this would imply that the model or imitator can be multiple people but only when you take them collectively.
I'm not sure how far this can apply. Does a person make a model of a characteristic of another devoid of all others, or does this person attach to the whole character of another? Shrug...
