Like 13: Tower and mingled sacrifices: I have heard the case made that Pilates mingling was a reponse to a Jewish rebellion. Galileans were known for their rebellious nature. That is why Peter is so afraid to be identified as a Galilean at Caiphas' house. The tower was explained in the same way: the Romans tore it down on some Jews for more rebellion--not that the wind knocked it over. In this way, the passage would read, "No, those Galileans weren't worse rebels than all the rest of you. Knock off your zealot-like, mini-terrorist rebellion against Rome and join me as God's Messiah and new King of the Jews."
