E esses fatores são mencionados por Dickinson (1991:121): (a)"some teachers may need to persuaded that self-instruction is a viable mode"; (b) "some may need to be weaned away from the same kinds of false assumptions and prejudices which beset many learners." e (c) "they may also need to build their confidence that learners are capable of undertaking a great deal of responsibility for their own learning, and they may need to build up their self-confidence in being to adopt the new roles necessary in a self-instructional learning mode."
Apesar de que tanto nós, professores quanto alunos precisam de preparação para auto-instrução -"both learners and teachers may need preparation to undertake self-instruction"(Dickinson,1991:121).
