Marrying Bill may have been more about love. (And that may is emphasized greatly) Staying with him has been about being close to the power. While she may not have thought he would someday be President, she could easily have seen his political savvy early on and thought "This guy is going places. I need to latch onto him."

As far as the "bitch" thing goes, some people give off first impressions that make others immediately form a negative opinion. She's one of them. She just comes across as a bitch to me. And I don't think she'd make a good leader at all.
