Well, I guess it's just not your kind of thing then. Milch's thrust is that anyone is eligible for redemption (Butchie stops using, Freddy stops dealing), and you don't seem to believe that is possible. Btw, aside from being a former Yale English prof and a current Christian, Milch is also a former heroin addict and former alcoholic. Hence his theme.

I loved it, though. :-)
