That's what he was referring to. It has a place, but it's way too overused in today's world.

He talked about a restaurant reviewer that used to work for him. He said that she averaged 8-10 exclamation points per review. He called her in and told her that she was being put on an exclamation point limit of 3 per month, so she needed to choose wisely when to use them.
