If you need to write an essay, the computer keyboard is not the best device that you should use to do a good job. Plus the fact that by clicking on the wrong key you can loose all the text that you have already written. These are common excuses a great number of people give for not using this tool to write texts. Although many people think computer is a difficult tool to work with, this modern device is a helpful one when writing an essay, especially if one does not have much time to write an academic text.
One excuse stubborn people always give is that, one can not get inspired when typing on a keyboard."It is too mechanical", they say. So they rather write on a piece of paper, and then, after making all the necessary correction, use the keyboard. What a waste of time, of paper, of eraser, and whatever other tool one might use to write. First of all, inspiration do not come from pens, pencils and paper, it comes from your mind. When using the keyboard to write on the computer screen for the first time, it might seem awkward, but after doing it a few times it will turn out to be an extremely easy task. It is just a matter of practicing, and will save you lots of time. As the old proverb says: "the more you practice, the better you get".
Organization, access to researching, access to a reliable correction, and saving time, are among the main reasons a person should choose the computer instead of a piece of paper to write essays, specially if the paper is about to due.
When it comes to organize your text, one could not count with a better tool. It justifies the text, gives doble space, make the font bigger or smaller, as well as underlined , in italic and in boldface. If you need to use a chart and markers in your text, you can do it, just by clicking in your mouse.
Access to researching helps you develop your text in a better way. When you need to know more about a subject to improve your text, the best way is to use a device called the internet. As many people already know, there you can find lots of information on the subject you are working on, without living your seat to go to a library whose employees might be even on a strike.
After organization and acces to researching has been acomplished, access to correction become the focus. One can not have a better tool when it comes to correct an academic text.
Computer devices can be very helpful when it comes to correct spelling and grammar mistakes on your essay before handing it. When writing without the help of the computer, one must have lots of time to spend looking for the right spelling of the words on a dictionary, and for the correct sentence structure on grammar books. By using the computer tools, one just have to click on the mouse for the spelling check and, access some sites to help you find, for instance, which preposition goes with certain verbs.
And last but not the least, saving time is a great reason why people shoud choose the computer to write a text. Even if someone may argue that when doing it for the first time it took him or her a long time, people who already work with computer know that after doing it for a few times you get use to it and, can write your essay in a shorter time. So for instance, a paper written in the conventional way it may take the whole afternoon to be done, while writing on the keyboard it can take as little as an hour.
Concluding, if you have a short time to write and hand your text, do it on the computer. The time you spent on writing, erasing, correcting and going to the library to do research like on the old times, you could have used to produce an essay much more improved, organized, well corrected and well researched.
