His thoughtful eyes were focused on his brother as watched him come into the room with Bree. Their auroa's were definitely brighter than normal and they seemed to be melding into one color which intrigued him. Not to mention the way his standoffish Laird and brother was keeping such an affectionate hand on his mate at all times. Pursing his lips, he cocked his brow and looked over to his own mate as if to ask her opinion on the matter before he spoke up. "Nice for ye ta join us lad, we were getting ready to start the meal without ye, custom to wait or nay." He smirked just a touch, nodding to one of the servants to begin serving the meal. Watching, he noticed the way that Bree's small hand slid into his Dane's, the way Dane's thumb caressed the top of her delicate and the way the female seemed to lean closer towards her mate rather then sit back centered in her chair. It was quite the change between them and he was more than curious as to how it had come about. "Miss Ashleigh Lee was just telling us of her excitement on perusing our libraries and the wee bairn inside of her was just announcing how hungry he was." He had been amazed when the plates on the table suddenly started rattling, amazed and a little alarmed until he saw the blush on the young lasses face and the way she put her hand on her stomach, her eyes narrowed there as if she were scolding the child. It hadn't taken much for him to skim the minds of the women there - the men were definitely well guarded mentally - and find out that the bairn was a special one. It would be interesting to see what the lad would turn out like. His eyes moved back to his brother once more, falling silent. He had spoke more out loud - because he had to among these people - this day then he had in a week and he was growing a bit tired of trying to control his voice and his pronunciation of each word. It was time for Dane to take over the social aspect of things.
