"I'll take it easy, I promise." She smiled warmly at that, leaning up to press a warm kiss to his jaw for a lingering moment before she turned. "I need to go put on some comfy clothes and I'll be fine, we'll just hang out in the den and I'll stretch out on the couch." Her voice was softly assuring and she pressed one more kiss to his lips before she headed out the door to her own chambers that were rarely used. Quickly, she tugged on a pair of cropped lounging pants and a t-shirt before padding barefoot into the den. She made her apologies to the girls, who understood just as she had thought they would and sat down to chat for awhile. She found herself talking about Dane and the whelps and then Heather's brood and how cute they were, then listened to Linn and laughed as the other woman described the chaos that Ashleighs lad brought upon the keep at times. A yawn escaped her lips as she cuddled in contentment against the couch - she had never realized how much she missed other females companionship. It was nice to just hang out and talk about girly things, about the bairns and their men and everything in between. Absently, she wondered what all the guys were doing but then pushed the thought out of her mind - she would talk to her mate later that night and that was soon enough, really. It was good, healthy, for her to be making friends and spending some time away from Dane. She was flipping through another book, her hand on her stomach as she read, when Dane walked into the doors. Her eyes lifted briefly before she looked down again, speaking as she skimmed the words on the page. "I find it so interesting how Dragons can find one of two mates. The mate of their heart, someone they fall in love with and then the mate of their soul, the person made to compliment them and their powers the most. It's a rare thing that they find both in the same person. Has it ever happened that you know of?" She questioned, feeling a bit awkward to ask if Bree was both mates to Dane or just one or the other. She couldn't help but be curious though, she knew that Dane was wanting to find out more of Bree's powers - maybe that would confirm more solidly the type of mates that they were.
