Dane never seemed to understand why she wanted to take an active part in running the keep. He was always telling her to just let the servants handle it but she enjoyed being involved, as much as she got stressed out sometimes, it made her feel like a part of Lallybroch instead of just the outsider queen. Her little brow furrowed again in a childlike pout before she sighed in apparant defeat. "Ok..a nap sounds good. You'll be back soon though, right?" Her land lifted to brush back a tendril of hair from his face, her gaze tender on his for a long moment before she dropped her hand back into his lap. "I don't want you to be gone long..." Tipping her head up, she searched out his lips with her own, bestowing a long, warm kiss to him as if that would convince him that he really shouldn't stay out to long. It was so very different now then it had been a few weeks before, even, now, she was soothed and comforted by his promises of being by her side the whole time she was stuck in the nest. She honestly couldn't picture being without him during that, she wanted him there to tell her everything was ok and to bring her food and care for her. While she had been growing up, she had been pretty independent, doing most things for herself despite having two attentive parents and a lot of that had stuck with her. With him though, she was learning how to let him take care of her, just as he was having to learn how to let her take care of him. She could still vividly remember the first time they had made love instead of just having sex and how he had asked her in such a confusion manner what she had done to him...
