(He smiled softly as he watched her test out the nest, feeling quite proud of himself as she stepped into it finally. Just knowing that his work met her approval was something he would have never though he required.. but the satisfaction he felt was a bit of a hint that perhaps he did. He didn't have much time to analyze what that meant, as he lifted his wing and let her curl up into his side. He nearly let out a soft chuckle as she instead laid flat on her side, which had to be a more comfortable position considering the eggs in her belly. He moved his paws, letting her lay her head atop them as she had before, then lowered his wing down over her body, shielding her. His tail curled up around her and he lowered his head to press a soft dragon kiss to the feathery crown atop her head. For nearly an hour he watched over her, looking around their peaceful surroundings, getting used to the normal sounds of the night around them. He glanced down as he heard a soft clicking sound and realized the eggs were moving again. Lifting his wing slightly, he started singing again in that soft voice he had, until the eggs stopped. He asked them quietly in the same voice to let their mam sleep, that it was time for them to sleep as well. And with that, he realized that he wasn't taking his own advice very well. Blinking a couple of times, he let out a wide yawn, then lowered his head down beside hers and scooted closer so that their cheeks were touching, then let his eyes close. Within moments he was asleep, his body warming and protecting hers.)
