He rolled his eyes at his brother, shaking his head. Ye need to learn how to at least humor the lass into pretending you are listening to her most of the time or she is going to bite off your bollocks one of these days. He grinned at that thought before he shifted to sit up, setting his beer on the table nearby his chair. Evie gets along well with her, says they are like sisters already. His own mate was so different then Bree is so many ways, so much more passive and sweet. There were very few times he would ever put the label 'sweet' on Sabrina but Evie was just...a doll. He smiled almost goofily - a foreign expression for him - at the thought of his mate before he pulled back and gazed at his brother. If the McKerod's were upset enough over losing their white, they could have enlisted the aid of a more powerful clan. I told ye there would be consequences to just takin' her from that field. He had never thought any clan would just sit back and let the powerful female be taken for them. It was true that the lands were prospering and he knew a good deal of it came from Dane's management but there was also something to be said for having the power of a white dragon seeping over their lands. Their crops would be more bountiful than ever and he wasn't to proud to admit that it was mostly the luck of the white dragon. Myth and legend had always claimed white dragons to be bringers of good luck and fortune and he knew that Bree was a cause of some of their good tidings. The lass had no idea of that, of course, but he did. He wasn't sure he would tell her either, he didn't know if she would believe him in the first place and if she did, well he didn't want it going to her pretty little head.
