(Several minutes past the mind numbing pleasure, Dane was still in a complete sense of shock. For a man like Dane, sex was something he had long since conquered, had long since discovered all there was to discover and had pretty much assured himself that he was the King of this domain as well.. but a wee lassie had taught him something completely new. It was shocking to him. Downright shocking. As he rested there, holding his weight just above her, his hair hanging down from her fisted grasp in spiked locks, he gazed at her with something akin to disbelief.. as though she might sprout a second head any moment. How could a 95 pound blonde teach him, a Laird who had had his own harem, could continue to shake the foundation of his beliefs on so many levels. It was slightly frightening, if he really thought about it. Tipping his head, he watched as she closed her eyes, watched as she ducked her head into his chest and simply held him close. Something flipped over inside him then, and he let out a low sound that was something akin to keening.. but the sound swiftly shifted into a groan as he pulled himself free of her body and shifted to lay at her side. Reaching out, he pulled the blanket over them and wrapped his arm around her, laying his head beside hers on the pillow. His gaze was intense as he continued to gaze at her, scrutinizing her as though he could figure out what it was that gave her such control over him. Part of him was just so fucking curious that he couldn't keep his mouth shut.) What just happened?
