(He laughed at her soft question, but took her willingly into his arms, lowering his head to press a soft kiss to her temple.) Aye, well, ye can think of us any way that ye like, lass.. but it willna stop me from protecting ye as fiercely as if ye were my own whelp. There are some things a male canna stop when it comes to his mate, aye? But, as ye say, I willna tell anyone besides my own brother that ye are my mate. We can continue on as if ye were just staying here wi' me. (He lowered his head and started to nibble lightly at her neck as she teased him for still being on his feet and hale. He was a powerful male, had to be because he was Laird.. but even so he was just as tired as she was - just better at making it appear otherwise. He chuckled goodnaturedly and let his hands wander down to her tight little rear.) I thank ye for the compliment, lass.. a male likes to ken when he is good for his mate. (He teased, putting extra stress on the word 'mate' just because he wanted to. He pulled back enough to look down at her features where her head rested on his chest, and smiled in an almost tender fashion.) Dinna fash, a leannan, ye've right worn me out as well. I just couldna sleep wi'out talking to ye about things, aye? (He felt much better about their situation now that he no longer felt as though he were misleading her. She was fully aware of the situation now and capable of making her own decision, and that took a lot of the pressure off of him.)
