After watching the dancing at the Winter Solstice I must say that the Queensland dancers are the best dressed! I really like Jade Goodwin, Sophia Ward and Gabrielle Aitken's dresses.

- Thank you Queensland. A big thank you to teachers, parents and dancers in Queensland from Christine & Lyndsay of Irish Dance Supplies for your support for the past 8 years. For family reasons we are re-locating to Melbourne. We will continue to run our "online" and mail order business through the Website. As soon as we have new contact details we will update the Website. We can still be contacted through 075563 8590 as this phone has been re-directed for a short period of time. Best of Luck for the 2009 dancing year and we will miss the company of you all at Queensland Feisanna. -- www.irishdancesupplies.com.au, 20/05/09 2:18:07pm [7]

- Gráda touring Australia -- Davydd, 2/06/09 2:29:23pm [1]
Dublin-based five-piece Gráda have well and truly established themselves as major players in the Irish music scene, but a minimum of 30 weeks touring per year is ensuring that they don’t rest on their collective laurels, just yet.
When you add their numerous individual appearances as side men for the likes of Damien Rice, Chris Martin and Bill Whelan (composer of Riverdance), it’s surprising that gráda can spare the time to visit Australia. What is also clear is that this is no old-man, finger-in-the-ear folk band.
Described as nu-folk, gráda bring their unique arrangements of trad (traditional) tunes and contemporary originals to Australia in June, cramming nine dates on the East Coast into a week-long tour hinging on their special one-off appearance at the National Celtic Festival.
For show dates, locations & band info... please visit:
http://www.gradamusic.com/tour.html
They are well worth seeing! :o)

- Dancing Schools in Brisbane -- Ex - Dancer, 4/12/08 1:45:24pm [3]
I am an Irish Dancer from Ireland and I am moving to Brisbane after Christmas. I have not danced for 2 years and will probably not return to competition. I am 24 years old and as I miss dancing I would love to be part of a school again. I hope to sit the T.C.R.G in 2010/11 and would love to be part of a school that could help me prepare. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I will be living close to brisbane central business district

- Just wanted to congratulate the Oxenham school for their lovely performance at the Queen St mall today. It was lovely to come out of the shops hearing a reel, and then walk over to see the lovely little girls doing quite a few dances to quite a large audience! -- great job, and well done for putting ID on display again :) just love seeing displays., 21/10/08 12:25:57am [2]
