This is a reply to the message you posted below:

just fired up the skeeter that has been sitting in a bus for about 20 years. She fired up ran for a few minutes then lost spark. after it cooled down it seemed to get spark again. When it would run, i had my spark tester hooked up between the plug and wire and i could just watch it fade away to nothing. i have new coils wires and plugs. all the wire conections are good. the points were gaped at .011. I just dont know if the stator is bad or if its just the condensor. Any help will be greatly appriciated!

The points should actually be gapped at .020. There is a good chance that the condenser needs to be replaced, we do have them new in stock. These are original condensers, I only carry original OMC parts. Are you using original coils? You said that they were new, all coils are not the same and it is very important that you use coils that are compatible for this machine. It is also important to use the correct spark plugs and wires. What spark plugs are you using? I would need the model number of your sled to identify the correct year and horsepower. I have new external and internal ignition coils that attach to the stator plate. These rarely need replacement before the condenser and points but it is possible. If you are going to replace the condenser, I would advise buying a new breaker point set from us as well. There are several possibilites, best just to get a hold of me and we will figure it out.
