You are probably right, your body is eating your muscles. Be careful with this because it is not good. Taking multivitamines does not stop this process (take them anyway though)
The reason you are eating your muscles is two fold:
1) you dont have anything else to burn on, you still use a lot of energy (heartbeat, breathing, talking walking etc) but your fat reserves are gone and you are not getting enough food in to use, so your body will use its muscles
2) you probably dont get enough proteine in your body and proteine is needed to maintain your muscles, without this proteine your muscles are breaking down slowly.

When your muscles are breaking down (you can also notice it by bad breath and very smelly sweat) you are getting into a process you really dont want to be, dont forget that your heart is a muscle too. I really dont want to scare you but you are breaking yourself down litterally. You really got to try to get some proteine in your system, keep taking the multi vitamine and try to get to 800 cals a day.
I really dont want you girls going the way I went, I started like this too, and I actually was very proud of myself that I was burning muscles (in my opinion then it meant that there was no fat left, which is not true) I ended up in the hospital twice where I almost died with a BMI of less then 14. I went through hell there.
Please dont go there and take responsibility for your own body. 800 cals is not that much and your body will like you for it. If you want more info on this you can mail me at chocolatedreams81@yahoo.com
