Welcome back, Juls and as you can see, you're remembered more than you think! :o)
As far as recovery or not, some of us may be maintaining healthier BMI's and weights but I don't buy into the "I'm recovered" thoughts at all. Once you've actually been through any eating disorder cycle (compulsive overeating, restricting, anorexic, bulimic or ednos) I believe you will always have that in your life. Some of us try to life with it in a healthier manner which is what I do. I call myself "recovering" and just like an alcoholic, as long as I don't ever give up and stop trying, I will ALWAYS refer to myself as recovering.
I'm maintaining a healthier BMI but I still restrict and am still pretty much obsessed with cals, fats, and cooking in general. The difference now is that I focus on educating myself with nutrition and cooking healthier foods so that I can still eat, but at the same time restrict and stay slim without going into cycles of starving or b/p.
Educating yourself on what are healthier foods is better for you than obsessing about numbers ~ after all we're all more than just a number. I applaude your efforts on trying to make new resolutions for yourself and trying not to b/p (that's so incredibly hard - I know!) The cardio and dance sounds like great activities, too and they will help make you feel better and less stressed.
Keep up the good work and know you've always got support here. The people who call this board home are amazing - every one of them and I'm happy to call a lot of them friends. Remember to just keep trying and don't knock yourself if you fall...come and talk about it and maybe someone can offer some tips on how to avoid falling the next time. As long as you keep trying you can learn from mistakes and it does get easier over time.
