Jane: No need for apologies - that's what this country is based on - FREEDOM of speech and choices. I will tell you though beware - Canada ain't too cool about all us American's coming into their borders. There are restrictions within the Canadian border that a lot of Americans are not aware of (not to mention you'll be using the Queen of England's money and be backing her paycheck and I guarantee you it's a whole lot more than any U.S. President would ever dream of having!)

On the political side, Canada also says they are a free state with great health benefits - what a lot of people are also unaware of is that the U.S. protects Canada and basically always has, their tax rate and pay are entirely different (and that goes to pay for your health benefits - most people overlook just exactly HOW it is arranged) and most likely not what you would want to expect, and the U.S. is STILL the most free constitutionally evolved and rights-for-its-citizens country in the world. The good 'ole U.S. of A. is Democratically based - England and it's subsidiaries is not - a monarch govt. is VERY different. Think about it before you start packing! ;-)

I respect your feelings and wishes but the majority of the country seriously couldn't have been wrong about re-electing a President. Had Kerry been in office the last 4 yrs and we were in the same quandry we are in now - anyone would tell you the same thing....you DO NOT change political leadership in midst of war. Unless someone dies, it's not the thing to do. We'll survive just fine. Job rates are soaring again - did you read the papers the last 2 days? Not to mention the stock market flourished on election day and the day after.

We'll just have to see what happens from now until his term is over. I don't necessarily agree with everything Bush did, stands for or the way in which he did some things. But overall, knowing the politics in N.E. (and having been raised in a politically involved family) he genuinely was (in my humble opinion) the lesser of two evils. Instead of moving, how about reuniting both parties for the betterment of the entire country and all its citizens? Like 9/11 - never had so much love, compassion and togetherness ever been seen in this country since WWII.

Just some thoughts from my perspepctive. Have a great weekend! :o)

Deb
