Hi Jody: Although I'm the same height as you, you need to remember that each person has a different body build. That is, even 3 different people who are all 5'7" may have different frames. Also, your heritage has something to do with how you "normally" would be at a particular weight.

Try going by your BMI instead. If I talked in lbs. I would tell you that I'm currently heavy , but I've discovered what the experts told me is indeed true...I can eat (healthy) and exercise moderately and still be thin). 110 for me is considered by outsiders VERY skinny ~ and you also distribute weight inidividually, very differently. For some, they are naturally "top heavy" while others are "bottom heavy". So you really can't go by someone elses size. I know for me when I get to 110 and below, (and I did...and that's when I ended up in the hospital with dangerous levels) people will in general think I'm sickly looking. Although I like to be skinny, I try to concentrate on how my clothes fit me (what's usually in my closet and not what I would LIKE to wear). Comparing yourself to others is a danger to those of us with ED's and we struggle with that the most. But you seriously need to think about YOU and NOT others.

What's good for the goose and not always necessarily good for the gander. Concentrate on YOU and ask others (friends, family, trusted people around you) what they think you look like even at your 110 now...then LISTEN. I don't know how many times I heard my own brother tell me I looked like a concentration camp survivor and ignored it. I almost lost my life for my own stubborness to be what I perceived to be perfection and my ideal of thin.

Take care of yourself...you only go around once!
Deb
