First off, good job with maintaining your weight and even losing some when you see fit. I would offer to you this: try eating more healthy foods such as apples or oranges throughout your day all the time but especially before your period. It keeps up your metabolism and the natural ingredients (particularly the natural sugars found in such fruits as oranges) help curb your "need to eat" during that premenstrual phase.

Also include chromium supplements in your diet (found at any place that sells vitamins if it's not already included in a supplement you may take). This also helps to curb those cravings for carbs, etc.

Eating a few choice pieces of fruit or even a couple of ounces of fruits and/or vegetables every couple of hours tends to take care of binging in general for a lot of people. If you know when you're about to expect to start menstruating then try to take a pamprin, midol or other over the counter menstrual pill that's intended to relieve some of the effects of your period (such as cramping, bloating, etc.) If you start it a few days in advance of actually starting menstruation a lot of women (including me) tend to have less tendencies for cravings and binges.

Hope this helps a little.
Deb
