A great alternative to vitamin pills are supplemental drinks like Boost or Ensure. I'm terrible about taking pills (reminds me too much of the extreme abuse of laxatives I did in the past) so I keep cans of Boost around. It includes 25 vitamins and minerals, is high in calcium and potassium and even has chromium, too. Plus you get 240 calories in you (no fat) and if you mix it with a little high fiber cereal that's a meal in itself and very good for you. Just an alternative for others like me who hate pills and forget too often to take them.
