There is no definet reason to ED's however there is strong reason to sujest that is does run in familys. This is because of the bad eatting habbits and body perseption that some1 with an ED will have. Even if recovered they may subconsously still carrie them.
I belive that it is only partly to do with this and that it was altimitly a host of different contributing factors that lead to an ED. Like bad habbits from parents, repesentation of body images from the media, bad experiences in life and our own inability to deal with them without our persistence of self destruction. This is just my opinion.
I think ur mum might be strugling to help u because of her own past. She may feel that it was her that past it to u and is now feeling gulity. Keep talking to ur gran though. Ur mum might come round eventually.
