Dear Betty,

Thanks for your thoughts... it means a lot to us.

Well it turns out that was NOT the drug for us... The mood problems became awful, and in the end I went to our family doc and she told me to stop the drug right away. We stopped on Monday and still things feel far from "normal" (whatever that is), but we're getting there.

We are due back at the rheumatologist on Sept 20, and maybe he will have fresh ideas for a drug that doesn't touch the mood... as if we need more help in that department. Otherwise we're thinking that the disease may not be as bad as the "treatment".

I know what you mean about the anger... I had a blowup (something I never do) and I've felt lousy about it for days... It does make me want to hide away from other people.

I hope your days are going better, friend, and that you find some moments of peace and joy today.
