Heather and I were discussing several of the different implications that come with the package when you're of certain colors or heritages. But then we get off on one of our usual tangents (as everyone in our group is known to do). And I feel that there is a definite lack-luster feel to American heritage in general. When people think of Americans almost always one of these 3 stereotypes gets stamped on our forehead in blood-red ink: 1)gluttenous, 2) bullying and/or 3)Self-absorbed and self-destructing. I don't mind living in America, but I am starting to dislike the labels that we and our parents have come up with for us. I just thought this needed to also be discussed because it sort of follows a more broad spectrum view on the whole Affirmative Action subject. Its always nice to "look at the bigger picture".
