Well, it's intelligently written. It always has a meaningful moral in at least one storyline within the show..the characters are ordinary, not glamorous, and therefore real. It is well written, directed, acted, and produced. It is funny (WArren is one of the funniest characters i've seen in a while...and Justin Long is a genius)..and yet has a real drama too. This week's episode was particularly intense. That exchange between Ed and the principal(can't remember his name at the moment) was intense!!! For real! i can totally relate to Ed...he's the archetypal nice guy who always finishes last. if you can relate to the characters, that's probably why you like the show.
