"He's going to be a mama's boy." He stated softly, addressing the issue of Chase first because he wasn't sure what to say to Remy about Gia. He knew what had made her run. He hadn't been enough for her. He'd given her everything he had and it hadn't been enough to help her get through the trauma, it hadn't been enough to make her want to stay with him and it hadn't been enough to make her be honest with him. He'd been humiliated and heartbroken the day he had shown up at this apartment and told Remy that she had left him, had asked for assistance, begged for help to find her only to have her fight him to come back home. She hadn't even cared enough to tell him she was pregnant until he had found out from someone else. If he hadn't have forced his hand with being involved with his child, she probably wouldn't even be there right now. He frowned heavily, suddenly getting agitated and it showed by the way he started shifting his weight and twitching and tapping his fingers without even realizing he was doing it. Lifting the beer, he took a long drink before he nodded to Remy and spoke. "I need to step outside." He brushed through the living room without a look or word to either woman, just stepped outside to light up a cigarette. "Yeah, he does think that." She stated softly, not going to lie to the girl. She had talked to Skeeter a few times and knew that much at least. Her hand shifted to rub Chase's back slowly, in soft circles as she gazed down at him. "Excuse me one second, I am going to get Remy to help me put him down for a nap." She stated, standing up as she called for her husband.
