Subject: Destiny Part 3

Here it is, part 3 of my story. I'm working on part 4 right now so hopefully it will be up shortly.

Part 3

The Kiriakis Mansion
Salem, USA

There was lots of life going on at the Kiriakis Mansion. Sami and Austin had decided to have the wedding in the
garden outside the house. Kate wasn’t completely thrilled with the idea of Sami becoming her daughter-in-law but she
couldn’t do anything about it because Austin was her son, and he wanted to marry Sami.

Jennifer, Greta, Hope and Marlena were in the "bridal room" with Sami. Sami had decided to go with a peach and
white floral motif, so the bridesmaids dresses were a light peach color. Greta was going to be Sami’s maid of honor.
Sami knew Eric had hurt her, but she still cared about Greta and since she couldn’t ask Carrie she thought she’d ask
Greta. Sami was wearing a simple white dress with a long flowing skirt(not a train though). She smiled as Hope
helped her with her hair.

"In a few hours you will be Mrs. Austin Reed." Greta stated. Sami smiled. "I can’t wait." Sami replied. Hope was
putting the finishing touches on Sami’s hair when Kate knocked on the door. "The photographer is here. We’re going
to start taking pictures in about ten minutes." Sami nodded. "We’ll be there in a few minutes."

"Kate’s not completely happy with this wedding is she?" Greta commented. Sami turned to Greta. "Kate and I have
issues, and I can understand why she wouldn’t be happy about this. But there’s nothing she can do about it. Austin
loves me and I love him." She turned to face her other bridesmaids. "Ready for pictures?" She asked. Everyone
nodded. Marlena walked up to Sami and smiled. "Honey, you look beautiful." Sami smiled and hugged her mother.
"Thanks mom." They then proceeded outdoors to start the pictures.

Jonathan rang the doorbell to an enormous mansion. ‘Must be nice to have this much money.’ He thought. The door
opened and he was face to face with Kate Roberts. Kate looked at him and smiled. "You must be Jonathan. Come
in." She motioned. "Thanks." He replied. "You can practice in the room over there if you’d like. If you need anything
I’ll be out in the garden." Jonathan nodded. "Thanks." He replied.

He walked into the room and eyed it curiously. ‘Wow, they have some expensive stuff in here.’ He set down his
guitar and opened his folder of music for the wedding. He sighed. "Well we’ll see how this goes."

Salem, USA

Kaitlin eyed her watch nervously. "Carrie hurry up! We’re going to be late!" Carrie rushed out of the bathroom while
putting her earring in. She straightened herself up and looked at Kaitlin. "How do I look?" Kaitlin eyed her friend.
"Frazzled," she replied honestly. "Gee thanks." Carrie replied. "Look Carrie, I know you’re nervous. But you need to
relax. Everything will work out." Carrie smiled. "I know Kaitlin. Thank you. Where’s Colleen?" Kaitlin pointed to the
bassinet. "She’s ready to go but already asleep for her morning nap. We’ll have to be careful carrying her down to the
car." Carrie nodded. "All right. Everything else ready to go?" Kaitlin nodded. "Let’s go then!"

Eric eyed his watch. ‘Where is Carrie?’ he thought. Austin had asked Eric to be his best man so Eric had left before
Carrie and Kaitlin. It was almost time for the wedding to begin and they hadn’t arrived yet. Eric was about to leave to
go call them when he saw Mike Horton walk into the garden. Eric’s eyes widened. ‘He came,’ he thought. ‘This is
really going to be hard on Carrie now.’ Eric felt terrible, he knew she should be warned but he couldn’t do anything
about it because the wedding was going to start any minute now.

The Kiriakis Mansion

Kaitlin has just dropped off Carrie since they were late. Kaitlin was parking the car and going to bring Colleen in with
her. Kaitlin finally found a place to park and very carefully lifted the car seat out of the car trying not to disturb the
sleeping Colleen. She walked up to the house. As she entered the house she heard the guitar chords of a familiar
song. As she walked further into the house she saw a door that was slightly ajar. As she neared it she recognized the
song. ‘The Schubert Ave Maria,’ she thought. ‘They must be singing in the wedding.’ The person behind the door
began to sing. Kaitlin’s heart stopped. She recognized that voice. ‘Could it be?’ she thought. She tried to peer into the
room to catch a glimpse of the man behind the door but felt a tap on her shoulder.

She turned and was face to face with Lucas Roberts. He eyed her. "Can I help you?" He asked. Kaitlin blushed. "I’m
sorry, I’m here for the Brady/Reed wedding. I’m a friend of Carrie Brady’s." Kaitlin explained. Lucas smiled.
"Carrie’s here?" Kaitlin nodded. "I’m Lucas Roberts, Carrie and I go way back. I’ll escort you to the garden. The
wedding’s about to begin." Kaitlin tried not to show her disgust for Lucas. Carrie had told her about him. Kaitlin
didn’t like what she had heard. ‘What a slimeball,’ Kaitlin thought. Lucas led her to the living room where Carrie was
standing. "Kaitlin, there you are!" Carrie exclaimed. "Come on. The wedding’s about to begin!" Carrie grabbed
Kaitlin’s free hand(the other was holding Colleen) and they found seats in the back.

Lucas found Nicole and sat down next to her. Nicole was scowling. Lucas turned to her. "Could you at least pretend
to be happy? This is a wedding you know." He whispered. Nicole turned to Lucas. "Look Lucas, Sami and I aren’t
exactly best friends, okay? I’m here because I’m your wife and I have to be." They shut up as Austin and Eric took
their places. The music of Pachabel’s Canon in D filled the garden as the ceremony began.

Abby Deveraux was the flower girl. She smiled sweetly as she walked down the aisle. Everyone "awwwed" as she
walked down the aisle. Will was the ring bearer. Then Jack and Jen, Hope and Bo, and Marlena and John walked
down the aisle. Greta walked down by herself. Eric stared at Greta. ‘She’s so beautiful.’ He thought. Greta tried not
to look at Eric, it hurt to much. Nicole sneered at Greta as she walked down the aisle. Greta ignored it and took her
place at the front of the aisle. The wedding march began and everyone turned to look at Sami. She smiled as she and
Roman walked down the aisle. She looked at Austin and he looked at her. Roman gave Sami away, and the
ceremony began.

Carrie couldn’t help but get a strange feeling in her stomach. Something seemed odd about this wedding. She couldn’t
put her finger on it. She couldn’t really see who was at the wedding since they were in the back. She turned to Kaitlin
and whispered, "I have an odd feeling about this." Kaitlin turned to her and put her finger to her lips. Jonathan started
singing the Schubert "Ave Maria." Kaitlin tried her best to get a look at the man who was singing. She recognized the
voice but it didn’t make sense. ‘Why would he be in Salem?’ she thought. She craned her neck to get a look but there
were too many people in front of her. As the song ended she heard some commotion going on behind her.

Brandon Walker had entered the garden. The priest had just stated, "If there’s anyone who believes this union should
not be made, speak now or forever hold your peace." Brandon began to walk further down the aisle. He looked at
the priest who was looking for anyone who had an objection to the wedding. Finally, Brandon spoke. "I object." He
stated. All heads turned to see who had spoken.

Sami turned around. "Brandon! What are you doing?" Brandon walked up to Sami. "I’m stopping you from making
the biggest mistake of your life. You can’t marry Austin." Austin looked at Sami dumbfounded. Sami turned away
from Austin and looked at Brandon. "Brandon, I am in love with Austin and I am going to marry him." Austin smiled.
Brandon just looked at her. "Are you sure?" Brandon asked. "Because I know you have feelings for me, and you
can’t hide from them." Sami sighed. "Brandon, I told you. I love Austin, I don’t love you." She replied nervously.

"You don’t sound so sure of yourself." Brandon stated. Sami looked around nervously at the crowd. She looked at
Austin. "Excuse me for a minute Austin. I’ll be right back." She grabbed Brandon and they walked inside to the living
room.

"What are you doing Brandon? This is my wedding to Austin. I’ve dreamed of this day all of my life." Sami said. "I
know that Sami. But I also know that you have feelings for me, and you can’t marry Austin today." Sami sighed.
"Brandon, I don’t have feelings for you. Right now I don’t really like you so if you would please-" Sami was cut off in
mid sentence by Brandon grabbing her and engulfing her in a passionate kiss. Sami resisted the kiss at first but felt
herself give in and respond to the kiss. When they broke Sami was breathless. Brandon looked at her. "See, you
can’t hide from it. Your response to that kiss tells me that you do have feelings for me. You can’t marry Austin."

Sami stared at him shocked. She had never experienced a kiss like that before. It scared her. ‘What am I going to
do?’ she thought. She turned away from Brandon. "What are you going to do Sami?" Brandon asked. Sami sighed. "I
don’t know, I don’t know!" she yelled in response. Brandon smiled. He had gotten through to her.

Sami didn’t know what to do. ‘I love Austin,’ she told herself. But her heart was spinning from the passion she had
felt from that kiss with Brandon. Brandon put his hand on Sami’s shoulder. "Let’s get out of here. You know you
can’t marry Austin today. Come with me." Sami pushed his arm away. "I can’t just run off with you!" she exclaimed.
"Oh really?" Brandon replied. Before Sami knew what was going on Brandon grabbed her and they were running
away from the house. She thought about screaming but something stopped her. He took her to his car and before
Sami knew what hit her they were driving away from the wedding. ‘Austin, please forgive me,’ Sami thought.
