"That's why I'm doing this. Carrie think about it, Mike came back because of Alissia and sooner or later, one way or
another, the situation with her is going to be resolved. When that happens how can you be sure that he won't leave
again?"
"There is no way Mike would abandon Alissia. Family is the most important thing in the world to him."
"First of all Carrie, Alissia stillisn't out of danger and even if she survives, Mike still has family in Isreal. He left his son
to be here with you Carrie but judging from what he brought with him I doubt he intented to staying forever. He
always planned on going back to Isreal and his son. That's his home now."
"I realize I hurt you Austin but that's no excuse for being this cruel."
"Believe it or not, I'm not doing this to be cruel. I don't want you to get your hopes up only to have your heart broken
again. I think you should talk to him about it."
"First of all it's none of your business and second, Mike and I have more important things to deal with right now.
Jeremy is a teenager, I think Alissia needs her father more."
"Then tell him that. Ask him what his future plans are and make it clear that you would like him to stay."
"Is that really what you want Austin or are you hoping that Mike will leave town again?"
"Like I said, all I want is your happiness. That is the only thing Mike and I have common. The difference is that he can
make you happy and I no longer can but he can also make you sad and that's what I'm afarid of. I saw how torn up
you were when he left and I don't want to see you go through that again. So far your sake and everyone else's please
talk to him."
"No. I can't believe I'm even having this discussion with you Austin. Mike and I will be just fine, without your advice."
'I hope so.'

"Mike, I know you have a lot on your mind right now but out of concern for Carrie I have to ask, what are your plans
once the issues surrounding Alissia's health are resolved?"
"What exactly do you mean by that Marlena?"
"Will you be staying in Salem or going back to Isreal?"
"I honestly don't know. Being back in Isreal reminded me of how much I missed being a part of Jeremy's life. I want
to be an actual father to him, not just a voice on the phone. If, heaven forbid, Alissia dies, I wouldn't really have a
reason to stay."
"What about Carrie?"
"Are you asking me if I still love her?" I always will but there are a still a lot of things I need to resolve with her."
"Like what?"
"Like the fact that we succeeded in hurting each other and a lot of other people or that we both made mistakes that
we regret. I initially left Salem so that I could to terms with that and I haven't yet done so."
"But you have a child together."
"Marlena, you and I both know that a child isn't a good enough reason for two people to stay together, in the end no
one benefits. I I choose to stay I want to to be because I'm ready to face everything that happened and move on with
Carrie. Alissia shouldn't be a factor in that decision."
"Mike, you don't seem like the type to just leave your child."
"That's where you're wrong; I've done it twice now."
"I think you're being a littel hard on yourself."
"No harder than you were on me."
"I understand I was wrong and I apologize. Mike, Carrie really needs you to stay. She really loves you and everyone
around her can see that now."
"Well if there's one thing I've learned this past year it's that sometimes love isn't enough."
