Subject: Humanity is an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become unclean

The dying sun reached its last fading rays out to touch her cheek. It was colder than it should have been for this time of year. The leaves that had plummeted onto the hardtop were swirling around in minuscule tornadoes. Around and around they gyrated, not ending when the breeze died down, only descending elegantly to the earth once more. They tumble down towards the pair of black knee-high boots that had just turned the far corner. Ever so slowly, the owner of the boots ambles towards the building with its ostentatious designs and her ambiguous thoughts. Perhaps the piece of evidence that stated her brother was trying to kill her was driving her to seek the shelter in a human place. This…church, as they called it, was supposedly harboring some divine being in which she could relay all her problems and He would snap His fingers, then *POOF*, everything would be fixed. If only that could be true, then her life would be so much easier. Valda stepped closer to the massive double doors with a thought to just look inside, and then leave. On the contrary, she stopped when she saw the elaborate details in which the pillars had been carved; how the light was shining through the tinted glass windows; how peaceful everything seemed to be. The aisles of pews spread out across the floor, as she made her way towards the front of the cathedral. The wolf-fae halted briefly in her journey to the front of this house of worship. It may have been the silence that overcame her, or it may have been the “divine spirit”, but whatever it was, it made her stop.
