民政事務局一項調查發現，近八成受訪市民接受同性戀者作為其同事、鄰居及朋友，但只有四成人接受家人是同性戀者。調查又發現，逾半受訪者贊成政府應為同性戀者提供平等機會，不過，對於應否立例保障沒有性傾向歧視，受訪者則意見紛紜。

三成人稱歧視情?嚴重

民政事務局於去年10月以電話隨機成戊X問2040名18至64歲市民。對於同性戀者在香港是否受到歧視，有三成人認為問題嚴重，但同時亦有兩成半人認為問題不嚴重。

對於應否立例確保學校、職場、商品或服務提供上，沒有性傾向歧視，支持者有三至四成，反對者亦有兩至三成。六成人憂慮立法禁止性傾向歧視會鼓吹同性戀風氣。

性權會主席邵國華於2003年與伴侶吳展鵬在加拿大註冊結婚，昨日是情人節，他說兩人已一起8年，算是「老情人」，不用特別慶祝。他笑言，數年前他負責「賺錢養家」，現在則由伴侶擔此重任，讓他全情投入學業和推動同志運動。
