Do you honestly think you could possibly do worse than this contract? 1% raise? almost 20 cents a gallon increase in gas tax. caseworkers complain they are oveloaded with caseloads, re-entry/parole duties, compass date comp. etc. how has IBCO and 509 helped you out. SMCC can't get a day off, same question. If you work at SMCC or PCC should you get less pay than a CO at NECC, BPRC, SHI-min, NCCI-min? Less benefits? no group 4. 12 steps instead of 7. Compare your qualifications to get your job versus a CO. PCC has almost a 10% population of diabetics, 70+ % chronic illness HIV/Aids Hep. etc.large percebtage open mental health. the only 24 hr medical/mental health facility in the state. Staff members have a greater exposure rate to infectious disease than any other non-hospital facility in the state. Should they get less pay and benefits than the other minimums? Did 509/IBCO do anything? MCOFU filed demand to bargain over entrance procedures. Why is a CPO run facilty the designated medical/mental health facilty in the state? Because the DOC knows that 509/IBCO wouldn't object and they didn't
