  • Here she was, having promised herself that she would be brave, and strong, and all manner of tough things while living under the roof of someone that she didn't believe she'd ever stopped loving, and she'd turned into a mooshy, melted mess as soon as he touched her. She closed her eyes softly, letting out a soft, short breath as his lips brushed over her neck - he knew exactly what tiny, seemingly inconsequential things could get to her. It was a silly notion she was entertaining, and she should have known better and to keep her mouth shut, but her mind kept regurgitating the past, and her mouth kept regurgitating her thoughts, "Do you ever wonder what would have happened, Gabe, if I hadn't gone to Hawaii?"
