  • Wow the States are over *tear* I think that it was a fantastic weekend- one of the best states ever. The venue was great (despite half of us having to travel across the country side to get there), the organisation, judges, atmosphere and the musician.   • I really must say it is a very worrying trend in Irish dancing in SA at the moment, there have been a huge drop in numbers competeting and subsequently now less feis!! I think dance is a PERFORMING art, and for both the dancers and the audience the thrill is in the performance - even if it is just a hobby. The small numbers in every section, the lack of competition/competitions, seeing kids spend 1000's on a dress they rarely get to wear, spending hundreds on tuition doing them same beginner work now without the chance to be graded out... I'd be glad to run more feis, I'm not adverse to work - if I ever decide to sit my TC I'll happy run 4 feis in a year - though I'm sure that'd be seen as doing wrong also! I put forward that there be a 'feis commitee' within AIDA so that there could be more feis run with the work-load and cost spread out amongst the various schools!!   • In Sydney the Fishers Ghost Competition is run by an Irish Association. You actually don't need a TCRG to run a feis. Why don't you contact the organsiers of that feis for advice. (NT) -- FG, 18:05:08 08/27/06 Sun

  • If u have used a spray tan keep applying as the darker u get the less the streaks are noticeable. Make sure that each layer dries 4 applying the next. Some tan creams do the same so the same to be used. To be honest I have found that spending a bit more on spray tans is worth it as I use one layer and never have a problem with streaking.   • I think you mean that our feis' are getting smaller...going by the last comp. I know that 2 schools didn't compete though. Let's hope that they only get better and bigger from now on because the more competitiors there are the better it is! More interstate competitors will certainly challenge us!
