My daughter had to retire due to injured knees and I just had this costume made. It was only worn for 3 months. This dress has a main colour of Midnight Blue, Gold, Aquamarine, Mauve, White, and Lime Green in the appliqué. The under skirt is lime green. This dress is in immaculate condition! The bloomers are lime green. Crown and bloomers are included.

I am a doctoral student studying Irish dance costumes and accessories, and Irish dance costumes in the United States. I would be very interested in getting your input, information, and opinions about Irish dance costumes that you own and that you have seen in your dancing career. This was one of the best comps i've been to in SA and I loved the purple sashes and blocks and trophies and everything!!! It was REALLY well organised and i'd like to congratulate the organisers. It was really good. They didn't use shortcuts or anything on cheap medals and trophies and it was really good. The judges were also very good and i'd like to congratulate them, they really seemed to know what they were doing.

I was just wondering if the City of Adelaide competition is like the melbourne festival. Does it have blocks for the top five? Do you get a trophy no matter what place you get? And do you get sashes?

Really grateful for this well-organised competition - it deserves everyone to get behind it...imagine the work, plus the expense of almost $2000 to hire the venue.
It is a shame about the lighting - but everyone danced in the same conditions, after all. Much prefer a dull stage to a dangerous floor. WE're lucky, guys!

I know sections are small, but is it fair and does it give you a true indication on how a dancer is going if they are competing against people who are not in their section? People may not be getting recalled but if the sections were separate they might. I think this gives a false indication for how a dancer may place in the states/nationals.

- At the melbourne festival i thought it was good how the floor wasn't lino, it was kinda like painted on. I thought this was good because it made it easy to make that loud sound that judges love!!!!!! It was also cool how they had blocks for the top 5. can we stop saying this girl is great la dee dah dee dah because im sure sum pple will get upset if no one writes how good they are because there are lots of way good dancers out there who are in really tough sections, but neva get noticed by people because they only get 2nd 3rd or even 4th all of the time. Just because sum pple r in a tough section and might not always win doesnt mean they arent good dancers!!! I just think its unfair that pple miss out on being in that top 5 list, even if they might have been in the top 5 there whole life. -- i'm not annoyed, i'm just sayin!!!!, 02:50:37 05/09/05 Mon [3]

- I'll be interested to see who wins the girls 15 years. It's such a hard section with really good dancers, however it always seems to be down to Rochelle and Jessica.
