I was just talking to Ziggy in Toronto discussing the trip. The journey to Belgrade could be cheaper, if you have more time to play with (Leaving on Thursday for example) and if you enjoy a journey.

Options would be:

Train from Warsaw to Belgrade (25 hours)
Car from Warsaw to Belgrade (approx.16 hours)
Taking a cheap airline from Berlin to Budapest, then a train or rent a car to Belgrade.
A donkey (time unlimited)

We will be working on these connections (Ziggy is looking after the donkey)this week, and have a replies, of some sort by the weekend.

If anyone else has an alternate route, please advise us what... maybe a russian airline or something.
