I did use stock K member with some mods.i used 70 nova headers with no problems except building a steering rod to pass a tube on the driver side header.I modified my oil pan so the motor would sit low. The stock trans cross member worked with no problems. i built my own 3" exhaust running thru the double hump cross member.I built my car to be streetable but has turned 6.69 thru the 1/8 mile with a best of 1.63 60ft times. i would be more than glad to answer any questions that you might have.
