Subject: Frenulum Breve Questions

I'm about 95% sure I suffer from frenulum breve. I've already seen a urologist, who insisted that I have a normal anatomy and nothing is wrong, but also said that it was ultimately up to me to have the frenulum cut. All he said was a small incision would be made, but as I recall, he also said there was no name for the the procedure, and looked puzzled when I mentioned frenuloplasty.

I prefer a method which will leave as little scarring as possible, and as least hanging skin as possible. I'm starting to consider the tying up method, but I'm having a difficult time understanding how this is done. I can't find any pictures or diagrams of the procedure. It seems several people here have done the procedure themselves, but I don't think I have the guts to do this myself. I live in the U.S, so does anyone here have experience with the tying up method? Is it a technique that most doctors know? I'll probably be seeing my GP soon and asking him if he can refer me to a urologist who has experience with circumcision/frenuloplasty, but I imagine that might be difficult, since doctors tend to frown upon information gathered from the internet.
