Why should people stop. I too worked there some time ago, under Walzer, and was totally put off by much of what I experienced there. I was dumbfounded by the general mediocrity I discovered to be present among some newsroom managers. Apparently, I'm not the only one. And perhaps that's what sticks so nastily in your craw. (Though I beg to differ with what people on this have been posting here about Janoski. I thought he was a thoughtful editor when he worked on my stories.) All said, this venting is indeed worthy of people who toiled (or still toil) at a newspaper that prints crap like Sayso -- whatever the hell that garbage is. It's a chickenshit device that only encourages people to hide behind anonymity to throw brickbats at people they don't like, no matter the motive, or charge. It's a feature unworthy of a community that should be encouraged to become progressive and not live in the continuing shadow of long past days when robberbarons, politicians, union bosses, etc. kept people down for their own benefit. Indeed, the T-L has used Sayso in the same manner - precisely for its own benefit -- a device thought to garner news "tips" from people who would be free to speak their mind if allowed to do so without identifying themselves. That's, in essence, not something normally worthy of a "news tip", let alone something worthy of publication. And printing these rants borders on the unconscionable. I believe Allison thought it somehow titilating and got a big gas out of it; ergo it ran.

By the way, and unlike everyone else posting here, I feel no need to hide behind any cloak of anonymity.
